Founder Story and Background
The inspiration for Airble was born in the summer of 2019, when founder Saeed Golzar envisioned an online marketplace that would simplify access to charter flights and empty-leg travel options. “At the time, I was flying helicopters and seaplanes, preparing to return to commercial aviation. While navigating British Columbia's vast aviation landscape, comprised of 286 airports, heliports, water aerodromes, 253 operators, and countless remote locations, it became clear there was an opportunity to connect these resources in a meaningful way,” he recalls. “I was in Whistler and needed to get to Vancouver. With no access to ground transportation or ride-sharing services, I opted to charter a helicopter. Yet, there was no centralized platform to browse or compare local operators. That moment sparked the idea for an app.”
Thus, the Airble journey began.
The remainder of 2019 was dedicated to addressing regulatory and legal considerations, including extensive discussions with Transport Canada and the Canadian Transportation Agency. Once the foundational compliance elements were in place, Saeed assembled an in-house technology team in 2020 to begin product development. The team focused on building a user-friendly booking application, iterating through trial and error to refine the platform’s functionality, user interface, and customer experience - to be able and launch once the travel restrictions would be lifted.
“A defining moment came one Sunday morning in 2022 when we received our very first seamless end-to-end booking. It was the validation we needed - we knew the platform worked,” says Saeed.
Today, Airble employs a team of ten professionals overseeing operations, technology, partnership building and communications. The company fosters a culture of resilience and innovation, consistently seeking solutions to challenges, regardless of scale.
As of June 2025, Airble partners with 56 operators, including 35 in Canada, 21 in the United States, and one in the European Union - with continued expansion on the horizon. With a mission to make air travel more accessible and streamlined, Airble is committed to connecting passengers to unique travel experiences - both near and far. Airble: Take flight to the skies and beyond.
